People say all kinds of things about the “Real Housewives” but this housewife (she’s actually a BA business woman) flew 4 private planes full of supplies and EMTs to Puerto Rico to help the victims of Hurricane Maria.
“This is a forgotten island,” Bethenny told People Magazine. “People have been living on their roofs for 13 days. It is like nothing I have ever seen.”
The planes were full of all kinds of necessary supplies, such as food, water, medical supplies, insulin, diapers, gift cards, etc.
Bethenny didn’t just drop and run. No. She stayed and distributed the items to the desperate Puerto Rican residents.
Bethenny posted on her social media channels that reports that residents were getting help were simply not true. And once the supplies were unloaded, she loaded her planes with hospital patients and those needing cancer treatment and flew them to the continential U.S. so they can get the care they need to simply live.
#THISISACRISIS Puerto Rican's saw our truck and are lining up in droves hoping to get basic essentials. We are the first relief efforts they have seen since #HurricaneMaria hit a week and a half ago! These people need your help. Please donate at http://www.bstrongdeliveringgood.org/bstrong/ #BStrong #100percent #workingforpuertorico
Bethenny paid for the supplies with her own money as well as donations made to her charity, B Strong.
Buzzfeed pointed out that last week, Bethenny flew to Mexico to help earthquake victims.
