Kristen Bell, star of the NBC comedy The Good Place and the voice of Anna in Frozen, proved to be a true Orlando hurricane hero during Hurricane Irma.
In Orlando to film the upcoming Netflix film Like Father with Kelsey Grammer, Bell first heard that Frozen co-star Josh Gad’s (Olaf) family was stranded with no place to go, when Bell offered up refuge in her hotel.
So @kristenanniebell literally saved my parents and my entire family tonight from #hurricaneirma . When they were stranded in Florida, she got them a hotel room at her hotel in Orlando and saved them, my brothers, my sister-in-law and niece and nephew. They don't make them like this girl. Thank you Kristin. You are truly an angel sent from above. And thank you @ewablueeyes for bother her when I asked you not to!!!!
But wait. There’s more. She also found out that actress Jennifer Carpenter, best known for her role on Dexter, also had family seeking shelter and she provided for them as well.
But what probably meant the most to local shelter evacuees was her impromptu performance at a local shelter yesterday. Bell showed up to peform songs from Frozen and entertain the storm refugees at Meadow Woods Middle School. Going well out of her way to help, Bell is the true definition of a storm hero!
