Cell phones have become a normal thing now for kids. I remember when my mom couldn’t even afford her own. Then again I came home when the street lights went on outside. The world seemed so innocent.
Kids seem to like to ignore parents and put their phones on silent because of activities here or there. But when emergencies come up, it could be pretty important to know the kid has gotten your message
According to SFGate, this dad, Nick Herbert decided he would create a new app that freezes the phone and sounds an alarm when his kid get a text, forcing them to respond. “My son has an iPhone, but I still can’t get hold of him very easily as it’s always on silent because he is planning games or has been at school and forgotten to turn the sound back on,” he said. “There didn’t seem to be a solution out there that allowed me to send a message to him, that would override the silent function, appear over whatever he was doing and tell me when he had seen it.”
The app is called ReplyASAP, and is currently available for Android, it’ll also be coming out for iOS soon.
