The most candy-filled, not so scary time of year is upon us at Disney’s Magic Kingdom!
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party kicks off this Friday at the Magic Kingdom park and it’s always a hit with kids of all ages.
You get an excuse to dress up and run around a theme park collecting as much candy as you can while themed music and fun decorations scatter the Magic Kingdom.
But what are the best ways to get the most out of the trip?
For starters, your ticket allows you admission to the theme park by 4 pm on the night of your visit. Take advantage of that. You can get a few rides in, have a quick dinner and be ready for the Boo-To-You Parade and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular and all of the candy filled treats your heart desires by 7 pm.
My advice on the event, start in the back of the park in regards to candy hunting. Most people begin in Tomorrowland or Adventureland with trick-or-treating. Beat the crowds and start near Haunted Mansion or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
If you plan to watch the Boo-To-You Parade, do so in Fronteirland. The parade begins there and ends on Main Street U.S.A. then you have the entire back of the park essentially with minimal crowds because most people watch near Cinderella Castle.
Speaking of the Castle, the fireworks and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular…if your goal is to get a good viewing area, get there early. I cannot stress that enough. The fireworks are in a 360 degree fashion, so really anywhere near the Castle is good viewing, but Hocus Pocus is best seen up close.
Finally, enjoy the park until the last possible minute. Your ticket allows you admission at 4 pm and the event closes down at 12 midnight. Use every minute to soak in all of the Halloween fun.
Don’t forget to pack a bigger bag to put candy in. You will walk out of there with pounds of sugary treats.
Tickets are on sale now for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party which runs select nights August 25th through November 1st.
