Millennials are eating out roughly 5 times a week, which is far more than those who only eat out once a week.
40% of Americans say they only eat out once a week, where as millennials aren’t just eating out, but they’re getting drinks at local bars and coffee far more than any other generation.
Bankrate.com conducted a survey and found that 51% of millennials go to a bar once a week, 54% dine out at least 3 times a week, and 29% of millennials purchase coffee around 3 times a week.
Millennials are rapidly becoming a major consumer force which is driving trends in the restaurant industry.
Speaking as a millennial, local spots are far more enticing than big chains and fellow millennials will spend more money on eating and drinking than clothing and shopping.
