The University Of Central Florida’s very own CFE Arena landed at second place among university venues in the entire country!
According to a press release, this ranking is three spots higher than last year when CFE Arena was ranked fifth, and this is the eighth consecutive year that CFE Arena has made the list. Rankings are based on gross event revenue for the 2016 event season, covering December 1, 2015, through November 30, 2016.
In 2016, CFE Arena hosted acts such as Amy Schumer, Ellie Goulding, Meghan Trainor, Pentatonix, Disney Live, and many more. Other happenings included sporting events, family shows such as Sesame Street Live, WWE NXT, comedy shows, as well as UCF and other college and high school graduations.
“Spectra Venue Management and UCF worked hand-in-hand to produce CFE Arena’s highest grossing revenue year ever in 2016,” said Spectra’s Brian Hixenbaugh, General Manager of CFE Arena. “We have another very successful year planned for 2017 to celebrate CFE Arena’s 10th year on the campus of the UCF, and look forward to providing quality entertainment for the Central Florida community in the coming years.”
Spectra is already building off of 2016’s success at CFE Arena, as the facility has already hosted the Festival of Laughs featuring Mike Epps and the Valentine’s Music Festival featuring Keith Sweat, and has scheduled upcoming shows with Casting Crowns, Katt Williams, DNCE, Daniel Tosh, and Jim Gaffigan.
