For almost the past 10 years, The Big Bang Theory has been a powerhouse sitcom for CBS and a plethora of other networks who run re-runs of the nerdy comedy.
I myself, find that I watch roughly 3 hours of re-runs on TBS almost nightly.
A few seasons back, the main cast of Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar, (Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Howard and Raj) made headlines when it was announced they had reached a deal to earn nearly $1 million an episode for TV’s number 1 comedy.
Fast forward a few years and those same actors have agreed to take a pay cut of around $100,000 each so that their co-stars, Mayim Balik and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette and Amy) can receive a raise, according to Variety.
Combined, the nearly $500,000 that the main cast is cutting will distribute to Mayim and Melissa and raise their per-episode pay to nearly $450,000 an episode.
All of this comes ahead of a likely renewal for a 11th and 12th season for the long-running sitcom.
