It’s not even pollen season in Orlando, but it seems like a lot of people are walking around with the sniffles and sneezes. When that happens, the most annoying thing is not being able to breathe easily out of your nose. So, here are two strange tricks that actually work to help you breathe more easily.
Before we get started, just know that the first one you can do anywhere or anytime. However, you’ll want to wash your hands before you do the second one.
1. Use your thumb to gently press between your eyebrows for 3-4 seconds. Then let go, and push your tongue against the roof of your mouth. This targets two bones in your face that shift back and forth and push fluid out your sinuses. Do it four or five times in a row and you should be able to breathe better.
2. Slide your right pinky into the back left side of your mouth, behind your last molar. Then push up toward your eye and cheekbone, and hold it for three seconds. It stimulates a group of nerves connected to your nasal cavity, and helps drain fluid. According to Men’s Health it works best if you do it every few hours.
