It’s nice to think that the reason you downed an entire gallon of Beyer’s French Vanilla Ice Cream is because you were stressed at your job or you put down a bag of Ruffles with a container of French Onion Dip because the kids were a little hard to handle but that apparently isn’t true at all! This is going to be so disappointing.
A new study in the journal “Biological Psychology” published in NY Mag found that there’s no such thing as stress eating. In fact, we’re more likely to eat a lot when we’re in a good mood, and we eat less when we’re anxious.
If you find yourself “stress eating,” it’s probably not for comfort it’s probably just because you kind of want to eat a bunch of crap and need an excuse. Next thing they will tell us is that french fries aren’t really vegetables! Sheesh!
