Adam’s Fun Facts: MacBook Chargers, Largest Living Thing, “Matrix” Word Origin & More!

What is the largest living thing in the world?  How much power does the charger of a MacBook contain?  What does a cat have that is like a human finger print?  It’s Adam’s Fun Facts:

1. The largest living thing in the world is a mushroom in Oregon that’s 2.4 miles long. (BBC)

2. The word “matrix” comes from the Old French word “matrice,” which means WOMB because it’s a place where something is embedded and developed. (Etymology Dictionary)

3. John Popper and his high school friend Chris Barron started a band called Trucking Company when they were in high school.  Popper left to focus on Blues Traveler so Barron added a few members and changed the name to Spin Doctors. (Wikipedia)

4. Every cat’s nose print is unique, like a human fingerprint. (Catcentric)

5. The charger for a MacBook has a tiny computer inside it that regulates power flow. And it’s about as powerful as the processor in the original Mac computer. (Righto)
