The Hope and Help Center of Central Florida was established in 1988. Their mission is to inspire, equip and offer support and guidance against HIV/AIDS. Offering medical equipment, testing and counseling, along with peer support and education, they play a big role in our community and have been hoping to spread the word about their organization for people who may be in need.
I had the pleasure of speaking to Joshua Myers, Community Development Director and Darcel Stevens, Board Member for Hope and Help Center, about the glorious night out and how the Hope and Help Center has been helping the community through the years, as well as the recent Pulse tragedy. The Headress Ball is Hope and Help Center’s largest fundraiser of the year, raising over 6 million dollars for the Central Florida AIDS service organization in the past 27 years. It’s an event unlike any other in Central Florida. The black tie event has a ‘LOVE’ theme this year, filled with live entertainment, delicious food, live auctions, a headdress exhibition and much more!
Headdress Ball will be held on September 17th at the World Center Marriott. You can purchase tickets here, as well as make any donations if you can not attend.
