Backstreet Boys, ‘NSync Promoter Lou Pearlman Dies In Prison

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Lou Pearlman, who is known for launching boy bands Backstreet Boys and ‘NSync, has died at the age of 62. Pearlman died in prison Friday where he was serving a 25-year sentence for a $300 million Ponzi scheme which was run from the offices of his Trans Continental companies.

Cause of death was not yet known.

Lance Bass of ‘NSync took to Twitter saying, “He might not have been a stand up businessman , but I wouldn’t be doing what I love today wout his influence. RIP Lou.”
