Adam’s Fun Facts: Homer Simpson, Hollywood Sign, Miami Marlins & More!

What is weird about the way American’s write the date?  Who played Homer Simpson in a film back in 1975?  What’s the only professional baseball team to to win the championship in 100% of their playoff appearances?  All that and more with Adam’s Fun Facts:

1. The Miami Marlins have made the baseball playoffs twice since they became a team in 1993 and they won the World Series both times. They’re the only team ever to win the championship in 100% of their playoff appearances. (Wikipedia)

3. Donald Sutherland played a character named Homer Simpson in a movie called “The Day of the Locust” in 1975. It’s just a coincidence though, Matt Groening’s father was named Homer, and that’s how he picked the name. (Wikipedia)

4. There are only three countries in the world that write the date out as “month, day, year” The Federated States of Micronesia, Canada, and the United States. Most of the rest of the world goes “day, month, year.” (Wikipedia)
