Community Connection – UCF’s ‘Let’s Ignite’

For the past 3 years, the University of Central Florida’s Physical Therapy program has been giving back to the community with their ‘Let’s Ignite’ event.

‘Let’s Ignite’ is a fun filled day with sports themed events for kids with intellectual and developmental disabilities & their families. The event is being held on April 2nd, and is free to attend. There will be two sessions that day.

For each session (10-12 and 12-2): there will be a warm-up, choreographed by UCF Dpt 3rd year Danielle Frech, followed by activity stations with buddy (dpt student will be paired up with each kid to ensure safety and accommodation for their needs at all time), and the last 30mins will be the award ceremony sponsor by Medals For Mettles.

I had the pleasure of speaking with UCF’s Physical Therapy Program’s Constanza Aranda, Jerilyn Toubman and Clayton Stoker, about the importance of their mission and helping out the community.

If you would like to register for the event , you can do so by emailing:

Take a listen to what you can expect and spread the word to all the families and friends!
