Asking celebs to prom via YouTube has pretty much become the way to go if you’re searching for that special date. Back in December, Port Huron, Michigan high school student Emily Torres took to YouTube to ask Bruno Mars to her junior prom. Knowing that Bruno might not see her vid without a little help, Emily enlisted the aide of Ellen DeGeneres to try to make sure that Bruno was aware of her request.

Flash forward a little over a month to yesterday’s Ellen show. Promoting his just announced concert tour, Mars had a treat for one very special audience member…Emily.

While he wouldn’t be able to book the date in March for her prom (concert tours are demanding, you know), he did the next best thing by bringing the prom to Emily on the stage of The Ellen Show. See if this doesn’t put a smile on your face!
