Fresh out of an almost year long run on Broadway as Che in Evita, Ricky Martin has shed the mustache worn for the role, let the scruff grow a little, and flown off to Sydney, Australia to begin his next gig…as a judge on The Voice Australia.

Martin’s Down Under arrival today was primarily to record promos for the show, which begins airing after Easter. Martin joins a panel of judges which also includes Seal. Keith Urban was originally on the judging panel, but left to take up duties on American Idol.

Neither Martin’s partner Carlos Gonzales, nor his bambinos, twins Matteo and Valentino, accompanied him on the trip.
