Were you born this way? Lady Gaga took to Twitter to announce plans to help remove the stigma around mental health treatment, saying she would offer free counseling including “access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends.”
Her sentiment is well placed — after the tragic events in Newtown, CT this fall many pundits have called for an examination of the stigma attached to mental illness and a closer attention to spotting, treating and offering insurance coverage for mental illness in children.
