Billboard published their comprehensive Best of 2012 rundown and it’s the best of the best! It’s more objective than some of the other “End of the Year” lists because it’s based on hard numbers, like album, song and ticket sales, chart performance, and so on.

Their Top 100 Artists of the Year list is based on each artist’s performance on the Billboard Hot 100 songs and Billboard 200 albums charts.  As you probably guessed, for the second year in a row, Adele topped that list.
