Holden’s Story: A Radiothon Vignette

Holden’s parents learned about his heart defect during pregnancy. He was diagnosed with complete A/V Canal with an overriding aorta  (congenital heart defect).

When his parents learned about his heart defect they began to research hospitals. After meeting with the doctors and staff at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, they were convinced that there they would receive great care.

Holden has had 3 operations and one catheter procedure to correct the blood flow around his heart and through his body. Aside from his “zipper scar”, Holden looks, acts, and plays like any other child. Their best stand out day ever since his diagnosis was the day he walked across the finish line at the Miracle Miles Race!
