As momentum builds behind A Body Revolution 2013, Lady Gaga’s crusade to improve young people’s self-esteem and tackle body image issues is making it’s way to the United Nations.

Since Monday, Gaga’s been posting about her growing youth empowerment initiative via Twitter, introduced the hash tag #KinderAndBraverWorld, and today launched a dedicated page to the subject on her LittleMonsters.com social Website.

In her introduction to the initiative, Gaga wrote, “I have teamed up with the United Nations and UNICEF to begin a worldwide Youth Empowerment Initiative. On behalf of my fans and The Born This Way Foundation I will be traveling the world to visit and assist families, orphanages, and communities in need. During each visit I seek to empower the youth to be brave in their struggles, and find strength in their ability to persevere. Here on littlemonsters.com you can follow our initiative and find out ways you can get involved.”

The nine posts currently displayed on the page show images of the singer visiting the Ventanilla School in Lima, Peru – where she watched the boys play soccer, played puzzles, danced and sang – and the Isibindi Safe Park Project in the small town of Cala, South Africa.

One photo from the latter stop shows the singer sitting with children where she writes, “Part of my initiative includes personal meetings where we all speak openly about the current social climate at their school. We then help to assist them in resolving their issues and other bullying-related conflicts.”

Gaga’s efforts inspired comments from fans such as a user who simply refers to herself as Ashley, “You’re doing so much good in this world gaga. You are f***ing perfect to me.”
