From Scott McKenzie & The Morning MIX

Have you ever heard about a dumb State law that seems extremely outdated and you wonder why they haven’t changed it?  For example, 2 States ban alcohol sales on election day.  Want to know which States?

Back in the day it was common for states to ban alcohol sales on Election Day because they were afraid people would show up to vote drunk or get too drunk to vote.  Most states have eliminated the ban, except for two.

So, if you’re planning on having a beer or glass of wine after you vote in SC or KY, you’re out of luck.  According to The Consumerist, all alcohol sales are banned in South Carolina and Kentucky and they’re the last two holdouts of this stupid law. Kentucky has discussed the possibility of getting rid of the ban, but not South Carolina for some reason.
