It’s been over a decade since Kelly Clarkson won American Idol, and during that time she’s put out plenty of hit pop songs. Coming next week, she’ll release a new single, and this November a greatest hits album!
Clarkson announced the new single “Catch My Breath” and her Greatest Hits album today via her official website with a nice message to her fans. Clarkson says that winning Idol was exciting but it also added a lot of pressure at the age of 19. One of the busiest women in the music industry, she admits that she continually feels the pressure of ”owning a business, running an organization as a businesswoman and creating music she’s proud of.”
She goes on to say that she wrote the song “Catch My Breath” with one of her best friends who has been with her for her entire career to celebrate the strength and longevity her family, friends and fans have supported her with.
“This song represents who I’ve been, what I’ve felt, and where I’m headed as not only an artist but as a 30 year old that is now smart enough to know that it’s time to stop, catch my breath, and be proud of not only what has been accomplished but of all the people that have helped me become the woman I am today,” Clarkson said on her website.
