It’s been a while since Ke$ha has been in the spot light, but she made sure to drop big news on the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet.
With all the attention being on One Direction and Taylor Swift for the 2012 MTV VMAs, Ke$ha wanted to be sure to get in on the action herself. So she announced that she’ll be dropping a new single this month. (September)
The singer told MTV, “I’m really happy to announce my new single. It’s called ‘Die Young,’ and it’s coming out this month.”
Could we see a new direction for the pop singer? It sounds like it. She’s made some…interesting connections with other artists.
She’s recently worked with The Flaming Lips and Iggy Pop. It appears Ke$ha is exploring her rock roots.
And to silence the critics, Ke$ha has said she’s leaving the tricks alone and actually singing.
Ke$ha said, “About 90 percent of the time, I don’t give a f***, but I give so many f****s about this album. Some people weren’t sure if I could sing. On this record, I said, ‘Let’s leave the tricks to a minimum and let me wail.”
