It started innocently enough, with a hungover Tweet from the Wanted’s Jay McGuinness while the guys were on the road in America. He was simply wondering what beer pong was. A few fans chimed in to explain.
@JayTheWanted beer pong is throwing balls into a couple of cups full of beer & if ur opponent makes one in, you gotta drink it. #wildnights

When B96/Chicago asked the guys to tell them about learning to play beer pong, the question was met with a room full of “Ooooh”s from the audience.
Tom Parker indicated there might be more to the inquiry than Twitter gave away when he excitedly asked, “Are we gonna tell the real story?”
And while Nathan Sykes urged McGuinness and Siva Kaneswaran to divulge what really happened, McGuinness stayed reserved while Kaneswaran claimed to have misplaced his memories.
OK me & @SivaTheWanted just laughed out loud at the concept of beer pong & how crazy de-runk it would/will make us. God Bless America

“Me and Siva had never played beer pong and we put it out to Twitter about that.”
Sykes interjected to ask, “Can I smell sweat?” As he and Parker laughed.
McGuinness explained that the crew taught them how to play beer pong and asked Kaneswaran, “Did we win?”
“I don’t remember,” Kaneswaran replied. “It was the greatest game ever.”
And apparently it was.
“Anyone who was there in the beer pong game, you know how good it was and hopefully we’ll play many more times.”
