Sunday night, Canada took the spotlight from Hollywood as the MuchMusic Awards took place in Toronto. Stars from LMFAO to Katy Perry attended the show and performed some of their hit songs.

Katy performed her latest single Wide Awake in a coming out of my shell (or in this case a cocoon) performance where she transformed into a butterfly. Immediately following her performance the award for Best International Artist was given out and Katy was the recipient.

She didn’t have time to change into an actual outfit so she accepted her award with an embarrassed look on her face while wearing a bedazzled leotard that wasn’t exactly covering everything she had. After thanking her label and Canadian fans, Katy joked “I had no idea I was going to win an award right after I performed or I would have put on more clothes! Love you! See you next record!”
