The wait is over! Matchbox Twenty have released a new single entitled “She’s So Mean.” The single is the first from their much anticipated album North. The album is set for a September 4th release.  I will be premiering “She’s So Mean” at 11 a.m. and we will replay it again every hour from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. with Bobby Smith. The song will then go into regular rotation!

North is the follow up album to their RIAA-gold certified album Exile on Mainstream.

“The title refers to us finding our way,” said Matchbox Twenty’s Paul Doucette in a press release. “We went into this record with a lot of material. Many different songs that could have taken us in many different directions. It sort of overwhelmed us for a bit. But, at a certain point, we figured it out. We figured out where North was.”

The band (Rob Thomas, Paul Doucette, Kyle Cook and Brian Yale) lived together in a house in Nashville, TN where they wrote and created some of their best work yet.
