It’s been four years since The Killers released their last album, Day & Age. Now they’re back, with the first look and listen at what their new album, Battle Born. And it’s fiery.
“In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better,” Flowers told Rolling Stone.
The trailer doesn’t give us any Coldplay-esque battle costumes or even envoke the look of fun.’s latest battle video for “Some Nights.” Instead it finds the guys in front of a huge bonfire in the desert, as letters that spell out Battle Born flash by. There’s also a fair amount of neon, which we’ve come to expect from the Las Vegas-based band.
Drummer Ronnie Vannucci said that Battle Born will be their “difficult fourth record” and that the music writing process is “living up” to its title. The album trailer says it will be released in the fall of 2012.
