One Direction have had quite the whirlwind success story. The band became the first U.K. act to reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts with their debut album Up All Night earlier this year and their first U.S. headlining tour sold out in minutes.
While in town for a show, One Direction recently sat down with B96/Chicago and discussed how and when they find time to appreciate their success.
“As far as reflecting on your success it happens at really weird, random times,” Louis Tomlinson admitted.
“I guess when you’re away from it when you sit at home by yourself,” Zayn Malik chimed in.
“Sometimes I find that but then other times you can just be onstage and it just hits you and you can’t believe it,” Louis said.
While most of the guys agreed that their reflection can happy at any time, Liam Payne said for him it’s when he’s talking to other people about One Direction’s success.
“When you actually talk about it and it comes out of your mouth. When you say the things that you’ve heard to each other and talk to each other then it hits you,” Liam said.
