[photogallerylink id=95002 align=left]Box office hits warrant huge pay days, look at Harry Potter, Lord of The Rings, and Twilight. The Hunger Games looks to fall into the same category as its novel-to-big-screen predecessors.

The big question many are asking is who will make the most off the movie itself? Jennifer Lawrence, Taylor Swift, or the author Suzanne Collins? Let’s take a look.

Jennifer Lawrence is the films’ star, she appears the most in the film and is the main character (Katniss Everdeen). She isn’t a Hollywood heavy weight however, so her demand can’t be too high. However, her pay out could be in the neighborhood of $500,000 plus box office milestone bonus payments.

She could easily make a fortune off the one movie, not to mention, filming has already begun on the sequel. Her next contract negotiation will undoubtedly include a pay increase.

Taylor Swift has written and recorded two tracks off the soundtrack, both of which reached #1 on itunes as of publish time, ‘Safe and Sound’ has sold 655,000 copies worldwide and ‘Eyes Open’ was released March 20th along with the remaining songs on the soundtrack.

Songwriters have publishing rights to music they write, thus Taylor can negotiate receiving royalties from the song’s profits as well as selling the actual rights for the song for upwards of $1 million, a piece.

Then you have the author, Suzanne Collins, the reason we have The Hunger Games. Her pay out could easily run upwards of several hundred thousand dollars for the first film, then demand more money for the rights to the remaining series.

Regardless, The Hunger Games will be the #1 movie at the box office this weekend and will score more ‘milestones’ as time progresses and the film opens worldwide. Harry Potter may have ended, but the hunger for another trilogy has been fed with The Hunger Games.
