The 5 Things That Make Us The Happiest And The 5 Things That Make Us The Saddest

A guy by the name of George MacKerron from the London School of Economics developed an App and studied 45,000 people to pinpoint the 5 things that make us the happiest and the 5 things that make us the saddest.  Plus, he’s figured out the very date and exact time of the year that all of us are the happiest and saddest, do you agree?

The thing that makes people the happiest overall is having “relations.”  That led to a 12.9% increase in happiness.

The rest of the top five things that make us happy are exercising, going to a concert, singing or performing and going to the library.

The thing that makes people the saddest is being stuck in bed sick. That caused a 19.7% decrease in happiness.

The rest of the bottom five things are waiting in a lines, taking care of the elderly, commuting and studying.

On the next page, the happiest day and time and the saddest day and time.

In general, the happiest moment of the year is 1:50 P.M. on Christmas day.  Makes sense, presents are open, mess is cleaned up, and you’re having quality family-time.

The saddest moment of the year was January 31st at 8:00 P.M.  That’s right in the middle of winter when vacation days and the summer seem so far away.
