[photogallerylink id=16445 align=left]Simon Cowell has told reporters that he would love to have [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm] lead singer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Fergie[/lastfm] as a judge on his upcoming vocal contest The X Factor.  Getting her on board though may be a whole different matter.

Due to her busy schedule with the Peas, if she were to judge, it would probably not be a full-time position.  Cowell told reporters that arguments ensue daily with the show’s producers to pick a panel of judges.  So far, the only confirmed judges are L.A. Reid, the former Def Jam chairman, and Cowell himself.

Other names being bandied around as potential judges include [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Mariah Carey[/lastfm], rapper [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm], former Idol judge [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Paula Abdul[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]George Michael[/lastfm].  Reid had hinted to the tabloids earlier in the week that British singer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cheryl Cole[/lastfm] would be a judge, although that has also not been officially confirmed.
